Physics Taboo 2

(1)
Taboo card game covering the main topics for Physics 2: electricity, motion, forces, stars. Motion: Speed, velocity, acceleration, terminal velocity, stopping distances etc. Electricity: AC, Mains, Static, plugs, resistance etc. Stars: Lifecycle, nuclear processes - fission and fusion Students play in teams of two. One person picks up a card and has to describe the phrase in the top box without using any of the words on the card. Their team mate has to guess it to win. The opposing two members of the four can jump in and steal the card by guessing correctly.

KS3 Physics - Timeline of the universe

(0)
A fully resourced and differentiated lesson plan, presentation and worksheets for students to discover the Timeline of the universe. The lesson begins with students ranking celestial objects by size and then moves through speed of light, and size of universe to a group activity Apprentice style for them to draw a one year timeline of the universe. Great opportunity for group work and Building Learning Power. Groups 1 and 5 are for MA and LA students Group 2 can be duplicated for as many middle ability groups as necessary. Please remember to review. Thanks ;-)
