This 2-page file includes: ~A handout that includes common vocabulary in German and English used to describe people’s appearance ~A separate page with the photos of 15 people each of which has a full first and last name so students can get comfortable pronouncing German names. The realistic clip art includes people of various ages, eye color, skin tones and hair styles/types. Some people also feature earrings, hats and/or facial hair. Activity idea: Have students take turns describing the people while the other student guesses who they are describing. You may use this resource digitally or print out on card stock to reuse in the future. Activity idea: Have the students work in pairs. Each student draws a person’s face which they keep hidden from their partner on one half of a piece of paper. Once they are both done, they take turns describing what they have drawn to their partner using the vocabulary from the handout. Once they are both done they can reveal what they have drawn to each other!
