Can be amended for ANY topic (or MFL, actually!) Lots of opportunities to give opinions and extend/justify. Build in 'weil' for higher ability if you want. Focus on speaking skills. Update... got observed with this and had an Outstanding - lots of feedback on the peer assessment and group interactions - you can really show off questioning and Blooms with this lesson... HTH

Stupidly easy lesson - lots of images for you to use (saves search times!!!). Print out sufficient, give kids gluesticks, colouring pencils and coloured card to cut out and stick onto. Jazz up the greetings inside if you wish - and there you are - easiest last lesson of the year ever - and avoids the HELL of watching half a DVD!!!

Reinforces time lesson done already with nice interactive games (thanks to a game I've lifted from another contributor on TES!), then goes on to teach basic subjects and teach how to describe your day using verb inversion, thus 'Am Montag HABE ich.....' Suitable for 6th Grade.

thanks to TWO other contributors, whose resources I've combined. LOTS of listen/repeat/chanting and print out the table of French/English to save the student writing it out! Lovely chance to introduce Saint-Saens carnival of the animals. Leave slide 25 on freeze with all names of animals from the music, freeze the OHP and then click on the YouTube links - students can vote/guess with mini-white-boards which animal is being represented. Second part of ppt much more usual - Bon appetit!

Lots of scaffolding to encourage personal responses of opinions and advice on healthy eating at breakfast. Lots of focus on subordinate clauses to hit A* material for controlled assessment. Can be used for spoken and written. (Sorry - just edited to say I've missed out an umlaut on gesunder - please add it in!)
