The Olympic games. History. Tokio 2020
A 7-page resource with infographics covering the history of the Olympics, Tokio 2020 games and expenses and costs of organising the games.
The vocabulary exercises before each slide ensure the students familiarise themselves with potentially new words and phrases before analysing the infographics. Comprehension questions after the slides control the understanding and encourage further discussion on the topic.
The worksheet aims at expanding sports related vocabulary as well as learning a few money related words and phrases and can be used to discuss the role of sports and the olympics in the modern world, the costs, benefits and risks associated with them.
Answers are provided for all exercises except one, where the questions require general knowledge and students’ opinion.
Appropriate for level A2 onwards for adult learners and A-level students.

This Complete Revision & Practice Workbook is full of revision and practice for the Edexcel Russian GCSE course.
130 pages.
It contains useful vocab list for all 5 required themes with subtopics, a variety of excercises and grammar notes, as well as exam-style questions, which cover the reading, translation and speaking skills needed for the exam. Learners will also benefit from mock exam tasks for wrtitten examination (shorter and longer essays questions and translation tasks - English into Russian) and speaking examination (10 picture based tasks with sample answers and 10 role play speaking cards).
The book is rounded off with a complimentary 20-page translation activities pack (sentences and short exam-style texts for translating from Russian into English and vice versa).

Russian A-level: 2.2. Музыка - оркестры (политическая и художественная культура)
This resource was developed as a complimentary material towards subtopic 2.2 - музыка, цирк, балет - of A-level Edexcel Russian Specification.
It discusses the state of classical music in modern Russia and specifically covers orchestras. Students will learn about the most famous orchestras, the names of their directors and conductors, classical music festivals and will practise essential vocabulary and answer comprehension questions to ensure understanding and practise speaking on the topic.
5 pages of text and 4 exercises for each chapter of the text.
The worksheet is developed in line with Edexcel A-level Russian specification but is appropriate for anyone learning Russian at B1-B2 level.

Russian A-level: translation pack Последние годы СССР
13 pages of translation exercises to practise essential vocabulary and memorise key facts, numbers and ideas on the themes required for A-level specification.
A total of 41 complex and compound sentences in English and their translation into Russian.
The sentences cover subtopics of the topic Последние Годы СССР1985-1991:

All sentences contain essential vocabulary required at A-level. Each sentence is developed using essential constructions. We included a variety of syntax structures, coordinating/subordinate common and compound conjunctions, different verbal forms to reflect the exam standard requirements. Many sentences contains a phrase to express an opinion, argument, make a conclusion and/or engage in a dialogue (e.g. I suppose, as far as I know, what do you think).
Answers are provided to English sentences. However, the exercise can be done in reverse - using Russian answers to be translated into English.

Russian in business news. B2
A resource based on an authentic newspaper article. It is aimed at expanding business (retail and finance, specifically) vocabulary and word collocations. Mulitple choice exercise is aimed at revising participles and paying attention to the meaning of prefixed verbs in set expressions in formal Russian .
Answers are provided.

Although we developed it for both teachers preparing students for the new GCSE specification (first certification from 2019) as well as students, the resource can be used by anyone looking to expand their vocabulary and practise talking about culture and identity.
The file includes a student’s card (that imitates a card that a student will be given at the exam and based on which a discussion with the examiner will follow), a teacher’s card and sample answers to all five questions.
Pages 3-4 provides possible answers aimed at achieving the highest grades. The answers can be used as a starting point for a discussion, to practise vocabulary (for example, do a word search) or certain grammar themes (e.g. find all examples of Genitive case in the text, find the verbs in the past tense, retell the text in the past tense or from the third person,etc).
