SPAG PPT - one slide per day. Begins with Y2 SPAG content and progresses to Y5/6 content. Used as a SPAG daily starter or morning/after lunch activity each day.
Worksheet that provides children with 5 sentences (all based around George’s Marvellous Medicine) with missing capital letters and punctuation. Two challenge questions on there to deepen understanding, involving punctuation within sentences using direct speech. Chn to correct.
Great for: starter activity, intervention, main independent activity for Year 2/3 children to recap those key skills.
Character description success criteria checklist Y3/4. Can be edited or just print and go! Includes basic SPAG elements (CLs, punctuation) and descriptive elements (adjectives, description of personality etc)
Worksheet to be used for English/SPAG focusing on word class and sentence types. provides song lyrics and colour coding activity whereby children read the song title and decide if it is: statement, command, noun, adjective, question or exclamation.
Worked well in year 3/4 for recapping but can be adapted to be use in early Y3/end of Year 2 or edited to just focus on word classes etc.

Introductory Whole Class Reading sessions introducing The Worst Witch book. Focuses on VIPERS. Package includes: SMARTs (also attached as PPTs) and two written lesson resources, with the book on the slides so no need to print/photocopy for children or to even have enough copies.
5 week Whole Class Reading/Shared Reading unit based on The Worst Witch book. 3 lessons per week.
Contains:
SMARTs for each weeks worth of lessons (3 per week). Also available as PPT files.
Lesson by lesson activities based on reading skills - between one and two written activities per week, verbal activities for other lessons.
Lessons are based on VIPERS and include the VIPERS cartoons to aid children in identifying the skills - they also explain the VIPERS to the children and explain what the skills are.
Each written sheet is created on Publisher so can be printed as is (have attached some as word docs so these can be previewed before purchasing). All extracts from the book are on the SMARTs so therefore the book does not need to be to hand for children or even photocopied!

One lesson based on the music video from David Guetta’s Titanium. Lesson focus on using the inference reading skill. Used for a 20/30 minute job interview and used across all of KS2 in shared/guided reading lessons and has been very successful.
Includes: Lesson plan with objectives, timings to stop the video with questions to ask to lead them to answer the final question using their inference skills.
PPT: Introducing what inference is, containing the video link and the main focus question to be answered.
Can be used as a stand alone guided/shared reading lesson.
Year 3/4 planning unit based on changes to the environment, including human changes and natural changes. Focus: Geography LKS2 objectives and observational science objective.

Lesson 3: Human/natural changes using the stimulus book Window by Jeannie Baker.
Lesson plan, resources and SMARTs (available as PPT files) available, including a virtual copy of the Window book if you do not own it. Easy to pick up and roll with - planned in 2021 so very recent.
2 week (8 lesson) SPAG/English unit based on key skills such as punctuation, word classes, sentence types. Includes written plan, lesson slides on SMART notebook (PPTS available also) and lesson resources for each lesson. Would work well to recap key SPAG skills from KS1 for Year 3 or to recap from Y3 for Year 4. All based around different Roald Dahl extracts, which are included on the SMARTs so no need to own the books! Involves SPAG and writing activities throughout and ends with a final written assessment piece.
Was originally used in September to begin the year after COVID remote learning but would come in handy to recap. Fully planned and ready to go, but also adaptable where necessary :)
