This an A4 leaflet template. There are a variety of pages: blank, sheets with instructions and business (selling a business) and biology templates (what is evolution?). The PowerPoint can be modified and tailored to the lesson or projected to the class.

This is a lesson plan that has been designed and taught to year 8 students. It is taught early in the rock cycle scheme of work and uses salol. Glass rods are dipped in the salol and drops are put on warm, room temperature and cooled (in freezer) glass slides. Crystal size is measured and compared. These cards provide information about 4 fictional plants and provide information about the height of the plant, length of root hair cell, number of chloroplasts in each leaf cell, time to grow, yield and other information such as drought tolerance. This is a worksheet that encourages students to make their own classification for invertebrates with the beginning of a classification tree provided at the bottom of the page.

This Excel spreadsheet contains links to 48 fun and engaging science videos that are hosted on YouTube. These may be used for countdown timers, engaging starters or as instructional videos to accompany a main lesson activity. The spreadsheet can searched using a keyword for the topic that you are interested in. This document helps students and teachers track progress in A level chemistry (OCR A specification). It can easily be modified for any exam board or subject and would work well at KS4. Students record their progress on assessed homework and tests. There is space for teacher and student feedback.The 'medal&' and &';mission' comments are completed by the teacher. There is space to record intervention strategies for a particular module. For homework a percentage correct score is worked out and a grade given as follows: 60% = C, 70% = B, 80% = A. This is a set of 16 flashcards with questions and answers that are printed double sided. When printed this way the questions and answers align correctly. They cover: atomic structure, electron configuration, counting atoms and balancing equations. These have been designed for AQA C1.1 but would suit all exam boards. This is a homework project with 2 optional extension tasks where students research what hearing is. This homework is set at least a week in advance and is used as the basis for a peer teaching lesson which is guided (facilitated) by the teacher. Students may produce a written textbook page or podcast.

This is a personal learning checklist created for AS chemistry to check understanding of mole calculations. A comprehensive list of AS mole calculations is provided. Students identify what they can do after a lesson or homework as they progress through a topic. At the end both the student and teacher sign to say that the student can complete do these tasks. This is a lesson on sodium chloride electrolysis designed for a triple set (top set) GCSE science group following the OCR Gateway science specification (C2H). The electrolysis is shown as a demo with students having previously carried out their own copper sulphate electrolysis practical. The lesson is designed to be fast paced with plenty of stretch and challenge as befits this set with students aiming for A* grades. This is a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? revision quiz designed for Edexcel AS unit 1 inorganic chemistry that would suit all exam boards. There are a total of 15 questions that cover these topics: gas moles, calculating moles, polarisation, ionic bonding, halogen bonding, volume conversion, concentration conversion, group 2 carbonates and enthalpy of combustion. This is a resource that I created for my year 10 students to think critique their performance on each question of an end of topic test. This can be easily adapted to all types of test for KS4 and KS5 A level. The page setup is A4 so page 2 of the presentation can be printed and stuck into student books.
