The aim of this booklet is to guide students in to writing a Careers Statement, that helps to show off their strengths, personality and achievements during their school career and to bring together the positives of their educational journey to date.

The Student Review Book, primarily aimed at year 9 students, provides an extensive document that supports student reflection and action; the plan can be used at the end of a term or at the end of a year, to help the student reflect upon the previous term/year and put thoughts and actions into place for the following term/year. The plan also provides a focus on Citizenship and how this has been developed by the student over time. The document can be incorporated into any PSHE or Life Skills Programme or indeed form an integral part in any Tutoring Programme.

This is Part 3 of 3 Behaviour Support Programmes for Students. The BSP Part 3 is a module of work that can be used with students who are at risk of FTE or indeed have received multiple FTE previously. The work would be ideally suited to students in Alternative Provision/PRU who have made mistakes, but are willing to reflect to try and improve things for themselves. This is an interactive staff training Power Point that I wrote and delivered as a Head in Special Education. It outlines the changes that took place to the OFSTED Inspection criteria in 2019 and helps staff to reflect upon the quality of education in their school. It helps to pose questions as to how the curriculum should be further developed in the future and what the key priorities for change should be. Many schools will already have undertaken a curriculum review, however this PP will strengthen staff understanding of what your expectations as Senior Leaders should be for your staff team. This session can be modified and changed to allow for more interaction and involvement from staff.

A very useful template for collating information on new students to your provision. This can be used by staff supporting the induction of new students or indeed by admin staff who support the collation of information on new students - Once completed this is a useful document to share with key staff who work with the student.

I wrote this document/template when I was successful in securing my final Headship before retirement; In addition to key school documents like the SDP/SEF/Raise Online Data etc, It proved a very useful ally when I was exploring all aspects of my new school. Once I had discovered an item on the list I would check it off and identify where I saw it or where it could be found. This is not an Ofsted related document but a personal template that I found very useful.

With the new RSHE guidance being implemented from this month, I believe that this resource provides an ideal starting point when focusing on positive loving relationships, the family and an introduction to Sex Education for Key Stage 4. The KS3 resource initially focuses on the importance of friends and family and a wider look at relationships, whilst the KS4 resource also focuses on relationships, but with a closer look at boy/girl relationships, sexual responsibilty and love. The resource contains all learning materials that allow for it to be implemented into any programme immediately.

I have used each of these tasks for SLT interviews in Special Education and they had proved invaluable. As a bonus I have also added a wide ranging number of interview questions that I feel sure you will find useful.

This resource consists of a presentation that I wrote and delivered on Differentiation for staff training. The slides explain clearly what differentiation is, how it links to effective learning for all students and the keys ways to differentiate in the classroom. The presentation can be paused at regular intervals so that staff can discuss the points raised. It formed part of a whole morning training session and so what would be required after the delivery of the Power Point, is an opportunity for colleagues to explore the process of differentiation/ideas in their subject or departmental teams.

Student attendance continues to come under scrutiny since the Covid Pandemic. The Tracking and Monitoring attendance package contains the appropriate monitoring tools and associated resources/letters/templates to effectively track student attendance in any school. Alongside the resources are appropriate letters that align to different stages of the tracking and an overall monitoring chart to be used by the attendance officer, to track referrals and cases which require additional follow up. In addition I have added monthly Red/Amber/Green Letters which are an additional monthly resource to inform parents of their students attendance and how it aligns to school expectations. I have also added a template that helps staff to identify historical attendance and exemplar narrative to help you use the appropriate language used by monitoring agencies. I have used this bundle of tools to track attendance in all of my roles in the past 6 years and it has proved very effective and easy to use. A fun quiz I have recently written to show that having ADHD/ADD/ASD or similar disabilities need not stop you from being successful in life. The aim is to use this with students who feel that their disability is hindering their life chances.
