Spanish Children's Song Book - Caballito Blanco - This is a traditional children's song. There's a full page for class viewing and also 3 separate pages that can be assembled into booklets for children. The pictures in the booklet could also be copied and used as student flashcards. Also included is a youtube link for a karoke version of the song that you can play for your students.
2 Spanish Carnival Booklets - Libritos El Carnaval - Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet that contains text and illustrations of things associated with Carnival / Carnaval. Each of the 7 pages in the booklet includes the word hay with a word that corresponds to the illustration on that page. Words included are globos, disfraces, mascaras, bailes, fiestas, congas y bandas and desfiles. Students then create their own version using the text only template. They'll have fun learning about this holiday and a little bit about hispanic culture. Each booklet contains 8 pages: the title page with 7 additional pages containing common Carnival words. This item also includes suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the Carnival words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.
Spanish Calendar Scrambled Words - Days, Months, Seasons & Images - Students unscrambled 20 scrambled Spanish words associated with calendar and seasons vocabulary. There are 2 versions: 1 without a word bank and 1 with a word bank that also instructs students to write the English equivalent next to the Spanish word. Both include 10 clip art images for students to identify with a Spanish word associated with the calendar. The answer key is included. This may also be purchased as part of my Calendar Bundle.
Spanish Calendar 15 Dates Translations Worksheet - Students translate 15 dates from English to Spanish. There are 2 columns: 1 for writing out the Spanish month and 1 for using digits only. Example: June 1, 2013 - el 1 de junio de 2013; 1/6/13 The answer key is included.
Students find Spanish days, months and seasons vocabulary in the word search, write the English next to the Spanish words listed and write Spanish words under the clip art images. The answer key is included. This file may also be purchased as part of my Calendar Bundle.
This activity uses common Spanish verbs associated with boyfriends and girlfriends, and their behaviors and interests. Sample verbs are jugar, tener, tomar riesgos, saber + infinitive, hacer planes, hablar, ser, ir, and tocar. Students will practice 3 forms of each verb in the present tense for asking, responding, and the follow-up written activity. Each student mingles with a bingo grid and must find different classmates that can reply yes when asked about statements in each of the 16 boxes. A sample statement is, "Pienso que un novio debe hablar conmigo todos los dias." When a student replies yes to a question, the questioning student follows up by asking in Spanish for the student's signature. The goal is to be the first student to fill the entire bingo grid. Also included is a follow up worksheet that requires students to: 1. Write a sentence for each of the 16 boxes in the grid. The student includes the name of the student that signed the box and must change the verbs to the third person. 2. Write an appropriate Spanish infinitive verb under 6 images at the bottom of the paper.
Students write the Spanish body vocabulary word under each of the 18 pictures. When finished, the handout makes a nice review sheet as is or it could be cut apart later and used for flashcards. The answer key is included.
Spanish Body Parts Song - El Hokey Pokey Song - Students practice 6 different body parts with this popular song with actions. The body parts included in the song are mano, pie, cabeza, brazo, pierna, and cuerpo. This is a great song for practicing the tu command form of the verb poner, and also for direct object pronouns lo and la. It works well with students of all ages when teaching body parts vocabulary, and it's perfect for a brain break any time!

The title page asks Que te duelen? and each subsequent page responds with Me duelen plus plural body parts. Each booklet contains 12 pages: the title page with 11 additional pages. Suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page are also included. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the body parts vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text. These booklets can be used in Spanish classrooms or as emergent readers in bilingual classrooms.
Spanish Body Parts Matching Squares Puzzle - Students assemble a 3 x 3 Spanish/English vocabulary puzzle with 24 of the most common body parts words. Words are only listed on the puzzle once. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. There is a list of all words alongside the puzzle in Spanish and English. This can be used as a body parts bookmark and reference.
