Use these signs to decorate your room and present, practice and review Spanish speaking countries and capitals. In addition to the official Spanish speaking countries, the presentation includes the U.S. and Puerto Rico because of the large number of Spanish speaking residents as well as Guam and the Philippines because of the Spanish influence in those 2 locations. Both Guam and Puerto Rico indicate that those 2 locations are part of the U.S.
There are 3 slightly different sets included in this product to give you flexibility in your classroom. The 3 sets are:
1. Spanish speaking countries with the corresponding flags. The flag and geographic region are on the presentation and the country comes out on mouse click.
2. Spanish speaking countries with corresponding flags and capitals. The flag and geographic regions are on the presentation and then the country and capital come out one at a time on mouse click.
3. Flags for each Spanish speaking country
There is a sign introducing the different geographic regions for each group (one sign for North America, Europe and Africa, one for Central America, one for the Caribbean and one for Asia/South Pacific).
There is also one slide that lists all countries and their capitals by geographic region. This can be printed and given to students for their reference.

Students learn birthday vocabulary in a fun, hands on way with these 2 Spanish emergent reader booklets. Each contains 8 pages: the title page with 7 additional pages. One contains text and images, and the other contains text only so students can sketch and create their own versions of the booklets. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page.
Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet containing text and images. Words and phrases included are yo tengo ___ años, fiesta, pastel, sombrero de fiesta, piñata, globos, and regalo. They then sketch and create their own versions with the text only template.
The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.
The booklets can be used anytime, but they're also very nice to have on hand for individual birthday surprises!

Spanish Class Back to School Student Profile - This is a questionnaire designed to help you get to know your students a little better and a little quicker in the beginning of the year. There are 12 questions about experience with Spanish, pets, hobbies, school activities, etc. The questionnaire is Spanish class themed, but the questions are in English. French Passé Composé Skit - Qu'est-ce que tu as fait la nuit dernière? - This is a 2-person, 16 line skit for practicing the passé composé. Friends are having a phone conversation about what they did recently. French verbs used are être, avoir, acheter, faire, parler, aller, manger, commander, and vomir. This is a skit that students will enjoy practicing and presenting to the class! The skit is copied 2 per page for student practice handouts and a translation activity, and 1 per page with enlarged font for presenting and practicing vocabulary and pronunciation as a class.

Spanish Countries and Capitals Game Show Writing Prompt - This is a fun way to get students of varying abilities writing while learning about Hispanic countries and capitals. The writing prompt provides enough vocabulary and phrases for beginners, and it works for more advanced students by adjusting the word requirement. The download includes: 1. This writing activity can be done in Spanish or English, depending on your focus and the level of the students. It's a great way to introduce students to one of Spain's greatest artists, and to add culture to your class. Students first describe and write their interpretations of 6 different Dali paintings. They then research each to obtain more information about each. This 12 line skit between a doctor and patient utilizes lots of useful, everyday phrases, such as "Let's see", "I'm sorry", and "Help me, please." The skit includes several French commands, and common phrases such as pas du tout and c'est tout. The English translation is included.

This is a 2-person, 9 line skit between a young girl and her grandmother who are discussing the timing of the girl's birthday and the preceding holidays. Dates, calendar, and holidays are the focus of the skit. Thanksgiving and Christmas are mentioned, along with the girl's birthday. Additional key words and phrases used in the skit are: Quelle est la date aujourd'hui?, la date aujourd'hui c’est , vouloir + infinitive, j'adore, aimer + infinitive, pouvoir + infinitive, and there are 3 different French dates mentioned in the skit.

This is a 2-person skit between a traveler checking in to a hotel in France and the hotel receptionist. Students must respond to typical questions, spell their names, provide their phone numbers, etc. It's short enough for students to memorize in a couple days of practice and utilizes useful, everyday language. Your students will find this role play fun to practice and present! It's also a great speaking activity for a sub lesson.
