Read Write Inc Ditty Sheet 11 Odd One Out worksheet print font version
Read Write Inc Ditty Sheet 11 Odd One Out worksheet print font version
After using the marvellous RWInc Ditty sheets, we found it useful to let some children use these “Odd One Out,” reading sheets.
In my classes I have always found children enjoy this type of sheet and they hardly realise how much reading they are employing in order to complete them.
It is important to let the pupil try to blend (Fred talk)/read every word as they go and if some need some extra guidance for that, you will soon know that they need the help. Some red words may also be included.
I have made lots of these for the other Ditty Sheets and if they prove useful I can put more on TES.
They may prove productive for some pupils if your school does not use RWInc.
You do not need to use the extension if not suitable of course or more able pupils could write their sentences.

Read Write Inc- red words search game 1 pre-cursive letter formation
Read Write Inc- red words search game 1 - pre-cursive letter formation
This has been created and used in a school using Read Write Inc but also using pre-cursive letter formation. It is aimed at being a fun way of helping children to develop their word recognition using scanning and repetition and is great to encourage children to discuss their strategies for tackling such problems.
As you cannot literally illustrate most of the red words, the illustrations on the sheet are there for discussion and perhaps to verbalize when trying to use some of the red words. You can also use them for simple colour, counting or size questions if you wish.
This has been a really great aid with teaching and to send to parents if needed. As it was so useful at school, it is hoped it may be helpful for others.
Teeth Worksheet: Which of these are high in sugar?
This worksheet aims to stimulate discussions about sugary food.
Match the words to the pictures. Find the ones that are high in sugar. Circle them. Colour in the foods that are low in sugar.
It has our characters FQ and TBot from our animation and song which help to encourage everyone to have healthy teeth for life by having a good dental health routine. Remember to brush your teeth twice a day.
Teeth - Brush Them Twice a Day Song - FQ and TBot featuring The Molars.
TBot eats way too many cakes and sweets and doesn’t always remember to clean his teeth. Can FQ help TBot to care about his teeth before it is too late or has FQ bitten off more than he can chew?
Can TBot keep up with FQ’s dynamic dance routines?
Will The Molars help to encourage TBot to do the right thing?
Can you guess what type of animal FQ is? The clue is that FQ really enjoys funky music, so what could the Q be for?

Number Bond Check up to 20
If you need evidence of a child’s number bond learning, then this sheet may help you with that.
It asks them to use 2 numbers to make 9, then 13 and then 20, in different ways using a simple layout.
You could use it as a practice sheet as well.
I have used a font style with precursive lettering as this was requested for the class that has used it.
Called Number Bonds Quiz 2 as I also created sheets for higher numbers.

How do the bees make all the honey? Quiz, song and video.
These worksheets aims to stimulate discussions about bees and facts known about bees. Together with the video, they can be used in many ways including in Science or Understanding the World lessons, or as an assembly about bees or to aid learning English.
TBot has some questions he can’t answer. How do the bees make all the honey? What makes the flowers grow? Can you help him by finding the answers to these questions? Do you already know?
You can have fun singing along with his latest song and then, if you need to, you could investigate the answers.
Packed with real videos of bees at work, as well as animated humorous moments.
Young bees are shown in a hive and a cartoon queen bee pops up at the end. Will pupils notice? Look out for the waggle dance. Notice the dandelion flowers are pollinated by the bees, set their seed and change to a dandelion clock. The oranges on the tree only grow because the bees have pollinated their flowers.
Why do hexagons feature in some bees lives and what makes a regular hexagon such an interesting shape?
When is the next World Bee Day?
