Year 1 Maths Numbers to 20 Planning
Based on Year 1 Curriculum Prioritisation and NCETM Professional Development material. This is based on Unit 8 - Numbers to 20
In this unit, children will explore:
Ten and a bit structure of numbers 11-19
Placement of numbers 11-19 on a number line
Addition and Subtraction with a ten and a bit context
Odd and Even Numbers past 10
Doubling numbers 6 - 9
Adding ones to a two digit number
Subtracting ones from a two digit number

Based on Year 1 curriculum prioritisation document from NCETM. This is based on Unit 5: Numbers 0-10.
Children will explore the numbers to 10, including their cardinality and their composition. They will explore odd and even number as well as how they are composed. Composition of number is explored thoroughly though this unit.
Suggested activities are placed in the powerpoints and tasked I have used previously with a year 1 class have been included in publisher format.

This unit of work is based on NCETM Curriculum Prioritisation document.
This unit will look at 2D and 3D shape. They will look at using block shapes to fill out and create images, use tangram images and use real 2D and 3D shapes to explore their properties.
The only thing for sale is the powerpoint and worksheets, not the web links and credit is not mine for those.

Taking Flight is an Emmy Award winning short film based on Antonio Pasin, the inventor of the famous red wagon, the Radio Flyer.
This narrative unit is based on the short film. It follows a chunked approach, and is inspired by Jane Considine’s The Write Stuff.
A detailed plan for each day is included within the slides and tasks are provided for each lesson.
Some lessons focus on sentence work and some work on grammar or vocabulary.
Skills and Knowledge focused on:
Adding ed to verbs and introduce to irregular verbs
Introducing ‘er’ as a suffix
Using ‘and’ to connect two clauses
