Hello. I've been teaching for 24 years and I'm still learning! I have become a primary maths specialist teacher (MaST) and NCETM accredited PD Lead, as well as long-time maths lead at my school. In September I started using the excellent White Rose Maths Small Steps and Guidance to plan maths for the Year 1 children at my school, along with the White Rose section on Craig Barton's brilliant Diagnostic Questions website. I share it in the hope that it will save you time. Thanks for looking.

5 and 10 frames to support learning number bonds, identifying patterns and using to make predictions, working systematically, missing number sentences/facts, and giving change. Links to White Rose Maths Y1 Block 3 addition and subtraction. Use in starters/mains e.g. show me how many more to make 5 or 10, write the matching number sentences/facts, put these in order, how much change from 10p?

Y1 planning and resources for White Rose Maths Block 2 Addition and subtraction week 1

Hello, is my plan and resources to go with the White Rose Maths scheme of learning for Year 1, Block 2, addition and subtraction. As always, all the resources are in word so you can edit them. This was the first block I put on here last year and I planned four sessions a week as that is what we were doing at the time. As a result this whole block is spread over 5 weeks instead of the four it should be, which is why this is still free. I hope this saves you some time.
