"Flowers and nature' artists to inspire art students

Hi everyone Here are my top “Flower Artists” which have inspired students across all age groups when developing and creating their own work based on their flowers/natural forms projects. This powerpoint includes the names of the artists, images of their work as a reference and examples of sketchbook pages created by students. The artists are all very different: Realism, illustration, surrealism and expressionism. There are also slides at the end explaining what a confidence artist sketchbook page looks like. This is a free resource, if you like this one, then please have a look at the other ones I have made on the following topics: Landscapes, Animals, Portraiture, Food, Still Life and Anatomy. Thank you

Hi everyone I have put together this 40 second video to visually show students what a confident artist sketchbook page should look like. It has exceptional examples of actual student sketchbook pages. It breaks down in very simple stages what is needed: Clear layout, minimum of 4 artist images/pictures, a title/artist name but not a HUGE title!! confident studies, written analysis, key words, do’s and dont’s The video is fun and I hope your students will feel inspired by it. If you enjoy the video, please feel free to have a look at my teacher support resource Powerpoint in my shop called: “How to create exceptional and confidence artist sketchbook pages” This has lots of examples and writing frames for you to use with your students Thank you

Easy guide to create a screen recording for your distance learning lessons

Hi everyone I have been teaching for 4 weeks now from home and I wanted to share with you how to create a voice over using Screencastify. I promise you it has changed my way of teaching and so far, the students have loved having the lessons delivered this way. It goes through the very basic steps of how to download and install the app, how to record, trim and how to download and share with your students. FYI: Anyone who is not very techy can do this. I have attached 3 files: 1: A 4 minute video demonstrating step by step instructions on how to use screencastify 2: The 4 minute video I used to show my Year 9 Art class 3: The Powerpoint for my lesson Any questions about this resource, please feel free to email me thestudentartroom@gmail.com Thank you Sarah
