This unit of work has been planned for a year 9 class to start to develop their skills and application of criteria relevant to the second order concept of significance in preparation for GCSE history. Student will study 6 key individuals who are all responsible to a certain extent for civil rights. The assessment for the unit will be to reach a conclusion about the significance of MLK in comparison with other individuals. The scheme is fully resourced, and contains a SOL and assessment. It has been designed to last half a term. Duration: 12 hours
