Watch Nathaniel Howell, Assistant Headteacher, Gems Wellington International School, Dubai, share his experience of how using Class Charts has helped his school.

The video explore the school's behaviour challenges and how Class Charts has helped with transform behaviour, be better prepared for inspections and turn data into insights.

Role and Challenges

Nathaniel's role at the school is to support student culture and experience, ensuring that their behaviour and morals align with the school's expectations, and helping them improve as individuals. Prior to using Class Charts, the school's strategies for behaviour were inconsistent, and they wanted greater consistency across the school.

Benefits of Class Charts

The school has been using Class Charts for about five years to monitor student behaviour and to collect and view data efficiently. Class Charts has allowed the school to keep up with in-school trends as they appear and respond accordingly. For example, if a significant number of students are being awarded a late-to-lesson mark, the school can review its policy on late lessons and adapt its assemblies and interventions for the week. Class Charts allows the school to monitor students and see where and why they're succeeding, as well as helping them intervene with students who are struggling in a timely manner.

Monitoring behaviour

The main feature the school is the behaviour module. This enables the school to monitor students effectively, view real-time data and adapt its interventions accordingly

Successes and inspections

The school has recently had a number of inspections and received positive feedback for how it uses Class Charts to monitor student behaviour and interventions and create seating plans and lesson observations.

Turning data into action

Class Charts provides real-time data, allowing the school to intervene in a timely manner and monitor the activity page. It helps the school turn data into action by allowing them to reward students, celebrate their milestones, and put reports and interventions in place for where needed
