The challenge

King’s Infant School, The British School of Madrid is part of the King’s College school network, which provides high-quality British education to more than 5000 students across the globe.

The infant school caters specifically for children between the ages of 2-7 and has a capacity for more than 200 students.

Before adopting MyConcern, King’s Infant School used a paper-based system for the recording and management of any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns. They kept hard copies of these records on the school premises, which meant that records could only be updated during staff work hours.

The manual nature of these paper records also made it difficult for safeguarding staff to have visibility of the whole picture.

The solution - Tes MyConcern

King’s Infant School needed a system that would make it easy to put together the whole picture of the challenges and issues facing the children in their care. They also wanted to use a system that would provide a smoother process, especially when passing information on to trusted professionals, or schools that children were moving on to.

  • The support staff are excellent!

Implementing Tes MyConcern

A school already using MyConcern recommended the system to King’s Infant School. Leadership teams at the infant school (and across the King’s College School network) decided to replace their manual and time consuming paper-based system with MyConcern.

The implementation process was simple, and King’s Infant School found the help from MyConcern’s support team excellent.

The outcomes

  • Better insight

  • Building teams around each child

  • Smoother processes

  • Seeing the whole picture

  • Information can be securely shared

  • Records are easily transferred to new schools throughout the pupil’s academic life
