Tes Institute’s Safeguarding Policy recognises that the welfare and interests of children are paramount in all circumstances. Tes Institute will promote and prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children and young people by ensuring:
- everyone understands their roles and responsibilities in respect of safeguarding
- every trainee studies the online Safeguarding, Child Protection in Education, Child Mental Health and E-safety blended learning sessions
- trainees attend all in-school safeguarding training
- we work with school partners to prevent the employment/deployment of unsuitable individuals
- robust safeguarding arrangements and procedures are in operation.
Tes Institute’s Safeguarding Policy will be reviewed as a minimum annually or more frequently when there are changes in legislation and/or government guidance.
