Aysgarth School, recently joined to the Rugby School Group, is one of the country’s leading co-educational prep schools for children aged 3–13.
Nestled within 50 acres in the stunning landscapes of North Yorkshire, Aysgarth offers an exceptional setting in which to work and live. Our vibrant boarding community is central to school life, with around 85% of pupils boarding and enjoying a rich programme of evening and weekend activities.

Part of Rugby School Group
Aysgarth School joined Rugby School in July 2025, becoming the second prep school to do so after Bilton Grange joined in 2020. Old Buckenham Hall became the third and latest prep school to join the Group in January 2026.
