Caversham Preparatory School

Caversham Preparatory School is a family owned school, run by a family for families.

We are one of a few family-owned independent schools in the country and we aim to work with parents and pupils to provide a happy and stimulating environment in which all pupils can thrive; to create an environment in which all pupils’ potential is developed fully in all areas of personal, academic, physical, social, spiritual and moral development.

The ethos of the school is based on an “I can” positive culture, where children are taught that ‘with help’ they can aim high and succeed. We create a supportive environment in which each child's needs are recognised. We aim to foster an understanding of all faiths and cultures; respect for one another and the environment in which we all live. Emphasis is placed on encouraging self-knowledge and an understanding of what it means to contribute towards a strong, cohesive community.
