About Grafton Primary School

We are a larger than average school, located at the heart of the diverse and exciting borough of Islington. We are vibrant, creative and caring. And we are driven by commitment to develop and nurture and by genuine passion and a belief in the potential of every child.

Grafton Primary School is a Community Primary School for children between the ages of 2+ and 11. It has an excellent early years’ provision including a nursery for children aged 3 and 4. It has a centre for two year olds and this operates on a part-time basis, three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon. The School serves a very diverse community in the centre of Holloway shopping and business area, and the School population reflects this rich cultural and ethnic mix.

The School grounds are extensive with a formal garden and a wildlife garden. In this garden, we have a science lab and an art room. ‘The Poets Corner’ is a lovely space for children to recite and read poems. The large pond provides a wealth of learning for all its pupils.

The School enjoys an amazing creative learning environment, which promotes well-being and creativity to the highest level of achievement. Its calm and happy environment generates a wealth of learning to all its pupils.
