About Greengates Primary Academy
Who Are We?
Greengates Primary Academy is a 1 form entry primary school on the Leeds / Bradford border. We provide an inclusive, innovative curriculum tailored to suit the needs of our children. Our curriculum is engaging, inspiring and stimulating, designed to provide our children with as many life experiences as possible including living as historical characters in our forest school, working experimentally in Science, debating current issues in Oracy and providing every child in school the opportunity to represent the school in interschool sports competitions. We believe in educating the whole child through dovetailing life skills into the children’s learning such as perseverance, collaboration and questioning, to further enhance these life skills they are linked to our Houses. We have named our Houses after heroes we believe exhibit these qualities such as Stephen Hawking, JK Rowling and The Help for Heroes charity.
We have high expectations behaviour and learning and expect the children to adhere to our principles, our committed staff strive to provide a school life which will afford the children to grow as people, offering experiences and opportunities to develop into ‘Good Citizens’ of the future. As a member of Delta Academies Trust we are part of a strong family of academies that work collaboratively together to improve the life chances of all our learners.
Why Join Our Academy?
Greengates Primary Academy was graded ‘Good’ in all areas shortly before Academisation (November 2017) and our results are steadily improving.
Our staff are talented and enthusiastic and have all contributed to the academy’s success story. We also have access to a staff benefits scheme. At Greengates Primary Academy we value the continuous professional development of all our employees and recognise that our staff and students are most successful when they feel happy, valued, challenged and supported to achieve their very best.
