Welcome to the International British School, or 'IBS' as we are known! Our pupils come from over 40 different countries around the world. We are a friendly and exciting school that opened 10 years ago. A young, dynamic and energetic team, our intention is to transform the lives of children!

At IBS we follow the English National Curriculum which forms the foundation of our curriculum, our teachers have designed a topic-based approach to the foundation subjects taught in our Primary section.

• IBS is a fully approved school with the Kuwait Ministry of Private Education
• In 2019 we very successfully passed the British OFSTED inspection carried out by PENTA.
• We are a member of BSME (British Schools of the Middle East)
• Partner school with the British Council.
• We carry out both Cambridge Assessment International Education examinations and Pearson Edexcel examinations for IGCSE and IAsL.

Teachers at IBS are  supported by their Heads of Section and by the Principal. Management at IBS is an internationally experienced team who fully understands the challenges teachers may face when moving abroad.

We offer great CPD for staff development combined with further professional development provided by the British Council in Kuwait. IBS is a great place to start your international career!

Our school is situated in Fahaheel outside Kuwait City, the nation's capital and largest city with a population of 2.5 million. The school is part of the Al Rayan Holding Company, a conglomeration of Kuwaiti private schools which commenced operation in 2007.
