About Kesteven and Sleaford High School
Kesteven and Sleaford High School is an 11-18 girls non-denominational, selective secondary school with a co-educational Sixth Form in Lincolnshire. The school has held Academy status since 2011 and is a member of the Robert Carre Trust. As of the most recent Ofsted Inspection (November 2017) there were 730 students on the school roll. The school was founded in 1902 and its motto is ‘educating today’s pupils for tomorrow’s society’. The town of Sleaford has a population of 17,700 and is located 17 miles south of Lincoln.

The school's last Ofsted inspection was in: November 2024 when the school was one of the few in the country to be deemed outstanding in every category. Kesteven and Sleaford High School Ofsted inspection reports
The inspection team found that “pupils are proud to attend Kesteven and Sleaford High school” adding that across all years in including the Sixth Form pupils “thrive in the extremely positive culture that the school has established. In classrooms, pupils engage eagerly with the high-quality learning opportunities that staff provide.” The inspection commended the curriculum on offer “The curriculum has been very well designed to meet the needs of all students” adding “The school has thought carefully about where adaptations might be needed to make sure that pupils with SEND can be successful. In all subjects, the curriculum is well sequenced. Pupils build on what they have learned before as topics become increasingly complex. Subjects are further enhanced by enrichment opportunities”.
The report goes on to celebrate “Staff are immensely proud of their school. They value opportunities to continue to develop their expertise and support to manage their workload”
Our close working relationship with parents and carers was commented on. The inspection team found that parents are “overwhelmingly positive about the school. One parent typified the views of many with the comment, ‘The school really do want every child to flourish.’”
