About us
Founded in 1600, Kimbolton School is set within 120 acres of stunning grounds surrounding Kimbolton Castle. We educate around 1,100 children aged 3–18 in a co-educational, predominantly day environment, with a vibrant boarding community for older pupils. Our Senior School and Sixth Form are located in and around the Castle, while Kimbolton Preparatory School is based to the west of the village.
Our pupils
Kimboltonians are well-rounded and grounded. They value hard work, service, and the ability to take setbacks in their stride—essential qualities for modern life. At the same time, they don’t take themselves too seriously and play just as hard as they work: on the sports pitches, on the stage, or even climbing a tree at break time.
Our approach
Our academic results are excellent, but we believe in much more than exam success. A broad curriculum is designed to help young people to discover their passions, develop a wide range of skills, and understand the difference they want to make in the world. Our expert staff know pupils as individuals and prioritise their wellbeing, while nurturing and challenging them to achieve their personal best.
