Longdean School

Longdean School is a co-educational academy school based in Hertfordshire for students aged 11-18. It is a non-denominational school.

The school specialises in Mathematics and Computing. Students are also allocated to a House from the moment they are given their House badge on their very first day at the school.

It also understands the vital role it has in ensuring that the variety of faiths, cultures and ethnicities that exist within the school are recognised and celebrated.

The school curriculum aims to develop pupils’ understanding and use of money, effective literacy skills, collaboration, resilience and the skills needed to know how to learn in an ever-changing world. It also aims to teach the tolerance and respect for different points of view and the provenance of them.

They enjoy coming to school and value their teachers’ commitment and enthusiasm. The academy’s welfare systems are highly developed and ensure that pupils are very well cared for. The most vulnerable pupils are well known to the staff as individuals and are making good progress in their learning.”
