New College Doncaster is a sixth form college which opened in September 2017, growing to approximately 1500 students and with a strong reputation in the region. The college was rated ‘outstanding’ in all categories by Ofsted in 2021/22.

New College Doncaster offers a wide range of almost 50 qualifications to full time students in the 16-19 age range, predominantly A level courses alongside a range of level 3 applied general courses. We are deeply committed to providing an inclusive learning environment and to supporting students from wide-ranging backgrounds.

It is a great place to be a student, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence, academic and pastoral support, personal development, and readiness for higher education, employment and life in modern Britain.

It is also a great place to work, with dedicated time to support collaboration, personalised professional development, opportunities to take part in coaching or complete national professional qualifications (NPQs) or to be supported as an ECT. Staff wellbeing, workload and development are high in our priorities and we are proud of our friendly and supportive team of staff.

We are also proud of the very strong results our students and staff achieve, with excellent student progress, attainment, attendance and retention. Student progress / value added for A levels positioned the college in approximately the top 15% of providers nationally in 2023, and in the top 10% of providers nationally for BTEC qualifications.

New College Doncaster sits within New Collaborative Learning Trust (NCLT), a multi-academy trust which currently comprises of three 16-19 sixth form colleges and a small cluster of secondary and primary schools. NCLT was awarded ‘Employer of the Year’ in the 2023 MAT Excellence Awards and is recognised as a Leader in Diversity and a Disability Confident Employer.
