We are a Good with Outstanding leadership rated Primary Academy located in an attractive, modern building in the village of Darfield, in the lively metropolitan borough of Barnsley.

We are committed to being a crucial part of the local community, and we are always looking to build further links with members of the wider community. We provide a breakfast club, family learning events, a wide range of after-school clubs and access to range of community resources.

In addition to our 30-place Upper Foundation Stage class (reception), we also operate a 52-place Lower Foundation Stage class (nursery) as an Early Years Foundation Stage Unit, ensuring that children enjoy an inclusive, personalised education from the very beginning.

To help you do that, we work hard to ensure we reduce workload on our colleagues, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of children first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

We will also actively invest in your future through working closely with the Outwood Institute of Education to offer access to a wide range of CPD opportunities, with all staff receiving a minimum of two hours’ CPD each week.
