About Platanos College
Platanos College is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in South London. It is an academy state school supported by the Platanos Trust, a multi-academy trust set up with the intention of raising standards and preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century. The school will provide 1,000 places for secondary pupils aged 11-19, when fully subscribed.
An academy converter, Platanos College reopened in February 2011. It was the first school in the Platanos Trust.

Values and Vision
The Platanos College motto dictates that “attitude determines altitude”, with the school believing that the former is the key ingredient in attainment. Its belief that every learner can achieve beyond their expectations is reinforced by the high expectations it places on all members of its community.
A diverse and wide-ranging school, the Platanos College caters for pupils of all abilities. Its specialisms are in business and enterprise. It is also a member of the Mayor’s London Schools Gold Club for excellent schools.
