Simon Langton Girls' Grammar School’s motto is “Meliora Sequamur” (let’s aim for the best). This underlines the school’s commitment to academic excellence. Students are encouraged to go beyond the limits of the curriculum and to explore areas of personal interest.

The secondary school promotes creativity in all areas of the curriculum and encourages extra-curricular participation in the arts, in order to foster self-confidence and stimulate students’ imagination and integrative thinking. Extra-curricular opportunities offered by the school include adventure holidays, dance clubs and musical tuition.

Simon Langton Girls' Grammar School aims for its pupils to leave as compassionate and independent young people, committed to making valuable contributions to their communities. Teachers strive to instil a love of learning and curiosity that will continue throughout students' lives.

“Students feel safe and happy at school. The school’s care and support for their personal development are outstanding. New students in Years 7 and 12 settle in very quickly. Teachers have superb subject knowledge and often use this to make lessons intellectually challenging and stimulating. Students work hard and conscientiously. They are attentive, interested and learn well. The sixth form is good. The number of students moving on to prestigious universities has increased in the last few years.”
