Our students have just achieved a record set of GCSE results, with excellent value-added scores. The school was the first Orthodox state- funded secondary in Britain, which was established in 2013 jointly by the Russell Eduation Trust, the Greek Orthodox Church and the Classical Education Trust.
Values and vision
The St Andrew the Apostle School’s motto is: “Ever to Excel.” The school aspires to deliver a broad curriculum that promotes both exceptional progress across the ability range and academic excellence
The school aims to foster a spirit of kindness, tolerance and responsibility, which it hopes will enable each student to grow in character as an individual and as a member of their community. The school seeks to help students to excel in sports, music and the arts, and encourages them to progress into higher education.
It also aims to help a high number of students to study maths, sciences, the classical subjects languages at university.
