About Swanmore College
Swanmore College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 comprehensive secondary school, situated in a rural location approximately 13 miles south of Winchester, Hampshire. There are currently 1,200 pupils on the school roll.
The secondary school is part of the Eastleigh Consortium, which is an association of 14 local schools and colleges. The aim of the consortium is to encourage the sharing of ideas and materials that have been produced by staff.

Swanmore College believes passionately in the importance of the individual. Every pupil at the college is valued and encouraged to develop his or her talents to the full, in an atmosphere where every achievement is celebrated. The college believes its rich extra-curricular life provides opportunities for pupils to develop confidence, leadership skills and contribute to the college community.
Swanmore College aims to bring out the best in everyone and has the highest expectations of each pupil’s learning and achievements. It challenges each individual and offers them the support they need to develop beyond self-imposed or external boundaries. It will never talk about pupils reaching their full potential because potential should be limitless. Pupils enjoy learning in an atmosphere that is characterised by high expectations, fairness, transparency and mutual respect.

“The headteacher provides the school with outstanding leadership. Governors and senior leaders provide strong support and all share the headteacher’s vision for the school to be outstanding. The overall quality of teaching is good with some that is outstanding. Behaviour is good and often excellent. Students are polite and courteous to staff and visitors. They feel safe and are proud to be members of the school.”
