Tenby Schools (Penang)

Tenby International School Penang is a leading school on the island of Penang, located in the prestigious neighbourhood of Tanjung Bungah, just outside George Town.

The school offers a British-based curriculum for 3 to 16 year olds that follows IPC, National Curriculum for England and IGCSEs.

With a new 75,000 sq. ft. STEAM facility set to open in April 2024, the school community is set to embark on a new approach to education pillared on the progressive learning approach of STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics.

Powering its new STEAM focus is an educational philosophy that has been proven around the world - Amazing Learning. Amazing Learning is about persisting through challenges and achieving breakthroughs. It’s about embracing the “good struggle” and turning “Oh No!” moments into “Oh Wow!” moments.

The school caters to the children of expatriates working and living in Malaysia and for Malaysian families who opt for international education. The student population of approximately 560 comprises of 33 different nationalities. The teaching staff are both expatriate and Malaysian. This is an inclusive school, where students have an outstanding attitude to learning and academic results are high, while the emphasis is on maintaining a holistic outlook. Every day students are encouraged to apply insights across subjects, to solve problems creatively, and to find connections between what they learn and what they perceive in the wider world.
