Thurston Community College is a large popular mixed comprehensive school with a successful sixth form.  2024 is an exciting time to join us as we have appointed a new Principal and the school had its Ofsted judgement confirmed as “Good”. We want all of our staff and students to be proud to work and study here and demonstrate our core values of PRIDE: progress, respect, integrity, determination and empathy.

There is an excellent programme of induction and support for newly appointed staff and you can be assured of a warm welcome from colleagues across the school. Thurston Community College enjoys a rural location just off the A14 and convenient road and rail links to Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.
