NeneGate School is a Special School for students with a primary Social, Emotional and Mental health need. Many of our children have other additional needs

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our committed and talented team.
The successful candidate will -
· Be an experienced TA who is flexible and able to remain calm
· Be able to inspire young people
· Be enthusiastic and confident
· Be creative and able to adapt work to meet a student’s needs, including having experience of delivering targeted interventions
· Be caring, dedicated and resilient
· Be able to work with pupils across Key Stages 2,3 and 4
· Be familiar with and supportive of the Steps therapeutic approach to behaviour
· Be experienced in working with children who present with difficult or dangerous behaviours
· Be able to use his / her / their own initiative
· Be prepared to get involved in every aspect of school life, including outdoor and active learning experiences
· Have Grade 4 / C in GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
· Be keen to develop their professional knowledge and skills and be proactive in seeking out opportunities to do this
