Oporto British School opened in 1894 as an all-boys school. In 1902, non-British boys were accepted, while girls joined from 1914. Community is at the heart of the school, where strong relationships between parents, staff and students are formed to provide a family like atmosphere where learners feel supported and cared for. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered to pupils across the year groups so that they can expand their opportunities outside the classroom, build in confidence and gain new skills and interests. These range from sports and drama clubs to the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Oporto British School works in partnership with the British Council and the University of Cambridge International Examinations.
