Job overview

Squires Lane Learning Federation is recruiting a site manager to lead and manage all aspects of property including maintenance, health and safety, and facilities management. You will work with a school caretaker across our two schools, Manorside Primary School and Tudor Primary School. Both are small, welcoming community schools, located a few hundred metres apart.


We are seeking someone who has the relevant experience to keep our buildings and grounds safe, inviting, and at a high standard of upkeep, and who will work in partnership with us to:

• Coordinate the day-to-day work of the caretaker

• Manage the school site, buildings and grounds

• Undertake a range of DIY repairs including maintenance, decorating, carpentry, plumbing, glazing and appropriate cleaning

• Take responsibility for security and Health and Safety, including unlocking and/or locking the schools

• Ensure our school is kept spotlessly clean, liaising with a team of contract cleaners

• Support contractors and lettings

• Set up for performances, lettings, lunches and evening meetings

• Help to maintain and develop our school grounds and outdoor learning provision
