Post: Teaching Assistant (Foundation Stage 2)

Location: Malmesbury Park Primary Academy, Lowther Road, Bournemouth, BH8 8LU                  

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade 3, Point 4-6, £23,114 rising to a maximum of £23,893 per annum; pro rata for part time contract.

Actual Annual Salary: £18,067 rising to a maximum of £18,676 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 32.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday    

About the role

As a member of teaching support staff at Malmesbury Park Primary School, you’ll be working in a team of like-minded individuals who all want the best for the learners in our school.  You will be working as part of the teaching support team providing support to the children and staff alike. Your role will require you to work with individuals, small groups and on occasions classes. You will lead intervention groups to ensure children achieve the very best they can. As part of the role, half a day a week will be covering PPA or providing additional support for a class.

They will have experience and a talent for engaging with complex children, encouraging social interaction, developing independence, self esteem and encouraging all individuals to achieve their goals.

About Malmesbury Park Primary School

Malmesbury Park isa highly popular academy, with a warm, caring, friendly ethos. The two units attached to the school are well established and are very highly regarded with one for children with social communication difficulties and one for children who find working in a mainstream class challenging. Parents actively support their children and engage in many aspects of school life including extensive fund raising. The local governing body also take a full and active part in the life of the school.

Malmesbury Park is a successful, highly regarded three-form entry primary academy with a PAN of 682. The Academy was inspected in January 2018 and received a Good rating:  ‘The  school  is  a  welcoming,  friendly  environment  in  which  to  learn.
