Location: Morice Town Primary Academy, Charlotte Street, Devonport, Plymouth, PL2 1RJ
FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade C Pt 5-7, £23,500 - £24,294 per annum pro rata
Contract Type: Fixed-term until July 2025 (39 weeks per year)
Contract Hours: 28.33 per week, Monday to Friday (08:30 – 15:10)
About the role
We are seeking to appoint a passionate, self-motivated and flexible SEN Teaching Assistant to join our collaborative and welcoming academy.
The purpose of this role is to work under the instruction and guidance of the SENCO to undertake one-one work, care and support to enable access to learning for pupils with special educational and social needs.
About the successful candidate
You will have had previous experience in working with children in a similar setting and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike. Working in partnership with the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom, assisting pupils to learn and reach their full potential as well as working with a child with challenging behaviour. If you have high expectations and understanding of behaviour of all pupils and can create and maintain a purposeful and positive learning environment, we would welcome your application to be part of our successful and hardworking team.
