Job overview
1:1 Support – Experience working with PDA & ODD
This is a specialist requirement for an individual with experience working with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Pathological Demand Avoidance.
This assignment requires knowledge of both of these and to be equipped with strategies to support a young person with a PDA profile where there may be conflicting and variable presentation, and difficulty in managing demands of daily life and sometimes, regulating emotions.
This is an intense and challenging role requiring lots of skill and patience, but the opportunity to make a significant difference and build a strong working relationship with a young male KS3 student.
We would ideally like to hear from individuals with knowledge or interest in sport as this is a particular area of interest for the young person.
This role comes with excellent support from the wider school team, the ability to refresh training and the possibility of a longer term contract for the chosen candidate, subject to achieving success and engagement in this role.
Working hours are 8-4pm Monday to Friday during term time. The pay for this role will be £75 - £85 per day
This is an IMMEDIATE START.
Please contact our Huddersfield SEND team for more information or to apply. A recent CV will be required for this role through Vision for Education.
