Accountant

Evolvence Knowledge Investments manage several prestigious British Curriculum schools and nurseries across the region, including Repton School Dubai, Repton School Abu Dhabi, Repton School Al Barsha and Dovecote nursery brands.

Job Purpose:

Based in our Corporate Office on Sheikh Zayed Road, you will report to the Senior Accountant and perform accounting and fiscal record keeping work and cashier duties when required.

Main duties and responsibilities*: 

• Preparation of BRS of all operating banks under the group and its subsidiaries 
• Verify and record payroll related entries including Gratuity, Leave Salary & other EOS after discussing with the HR team
• Handling, review and posting of medical insurance invoices and its subsequent prepayments for the group and its subsidiaries
• Review of Fixed Asset Register and subsequent posting of depreciation
• Assisting the Senior Management Accountant in the review and posting of AR related entries for the schools as a part of month-end closing process
• Maintaining and reconciling all GLs for the group and its subsidiaries to keep it audit-ready.
• Assistance in inter-company & intra-company cost allocations with respect to the instruction from the Senior Management Accountant

Skills and Experience: 

• At least 2 or more years of hands-on experience
• Good technical skills and accounting conceptual clarity 
• Excellent Excel skills, competent in Word and PowerPoint 
• ERP knowledge; Microsoft AX or Navision experience is a distinct advantage
• Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and work under pressure 
• Excellent English language, communication skills

Qualifications: 

• Ideally qualified accountant/M.Com
