Wansdyke School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly organised Admin Officer to support its thriving school and help ensure the smooth running of its day-to-day operations.
Working Hours: Part Time (19.5 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm, 39 weeks per year, includes Teacher Training Days).
We are a vibrant non-denominational single form entry primary school, educating children between the ages of 4 and 11. Located in the market town of Devizes, Wiltshire, we are proud to have very incredible children, who show exceptional behaviour and attitude to learning. We also have a supportive parent body and a 28 place Complex Needs Resource Base, which supports children with additional needs from across the county. Our passionate staff are committed to raising standards and achieving excellence and, in 2021, we retained our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and were praised for providing a purposeful and engaging curriculum, which allows pupils to flourish personally and academically. We are part of Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to improve local education and draw on collective experience.
As Admin Officer, you will be the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders, act as an ambassador for our school and be responsible for supporting with administrative, financial and organisational processes within our setting.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is well presented and articulate, with great communication skills;
- Has strong interpersonal skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
- Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
- Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations and make effective decisions;
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
- Has a positive and flexible attitude;
- Has experience of working in a busy office environment (advantageous);
- Has sound ICT skills, including fast and accurate keyboard skills.
