Job overview
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
In this role, you’ll provide an efficient, flexible and high-quality service to support the smooth running of the school office. Using a variety of administrative processes and procedures, you’ll contribute to the overall ethos of the school and develop constructive relationships with staff, students, parents/carers and other agencies. As the first point of contact for all families, students and visitors, you will manage telephone and personal enquiries and assist with additional administrative functions, including data entry, filing and word processing.
Experience
To be successful, you will have five GCSEs at Grade A*–C, including English and Mathematics, and relevant ICT or administrative training qualifications. You will also have:
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle situations with tact and sensitivity;
- excellent keyboard skills, with a fast and accurate typing speed;
- strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including confident use of Word and Excel;
- the ability to manage and prioritise your workload;
- the ability to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail;
- knowledge and understanding of children and the ability to relate to them positively;
- a flexible approach.

We are proud to lead Dunraven, a 4-18, All Through School, one of the 5 schools which form the Dunraven Educational Trust. This structure offers our children - and their families - a unique educational opportunity as well as the chance for the school to create an exciting and enriched learning experience for all its students. Our primary team are very excited to be working with our children and look forward to seeing them develop and grow as learners. Our results continue to improve, remaining to remain strong and well above national averages and representing positive 'value added'. We are proud of our recent Ofsted inspection in March 2023 when Ofsted judged our school as Good with Outstanding features and are determined to strive towards Excellence for All. We are one of very few schools with Platinum Artsmark Status and are a National Support School.
