Salary: £11,648 to £20,820.80 a year. Salary will be paid pro rata and is dependent on previous experience and age.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm

Role
As an apprentice, you will be employed by Liverpool School Sports Partnership (LSSP), you will at Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
The role will include;
- Assisting with the delivery of physical activity and school sport
- Supporting other classes across the school
- Organising and delivering activities over the lunchtime and after school periods
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

- Applicants will follow a L3 Teaching Assistant training pathway specialising in PE, sport and physical activity.
- Training will be a mix of blended learning; both face to face & virtual. Face to face will be held centrally in Liverpool.

Essential qualifications
GCSE: Maths & English (Grade 4 or above)
Desirable qualifications
BTEC or equivalent: PE or Leisure (grade Pass)
A Level or equivalent: PE or Sports studies (grade Pass)
Other qualifications:
- National Governing Body Qualifications (grade Level 1)
- National Governing Body Qualifications (grade Level 2)

Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School is a mainstream secondary school for boys aged 11-18. This state voluntary-aided school is situated in West Derby, Liverpool. It is an oversubscribed, larger than average school with an excellent reputation in the sporting arena and increasingly in the arts.
