The pastoral aspects of the school are integral to our ethos and aims, and we pride ourselves on the provision we offer to students.

All staff here act, teach, foster and mentor in a way designed to bring out the very best in every one of our extraordinary students. We expect the utmost mutual respect from all, and working as part of a team is vital. You should be able to work constructively within a cohesive and busy school.

At Canbury the students are genuinely at the heart of everything we do, it is therefore essential you enjoy working for the benefit and enrichment of neurodiverse students.

About our School

With a total of 75 students on roll, we pride ourselves on truly getting to know each one of our students. All our staff are expected to contribute to the values and ethos of Canbury, making the educational journey for each child stimulating, enjoyable, challenging, and tailored.

We are proud of our broad curriculum, the wide range of qualifications we offer, and the support we are able to provide through small group teaching and, where appropriate, specialist therapists or learning support assistants.

Our School community is a happy and inclusive one, where students support and respect each other. We understand that a child’s well-being is as equally important as their academic achievements, as such we enable students to feel safe, understood, and settled in school.

If you think Canbury School would be a good fit for you, and you for us, we are really looking forward to hearing from you
