Job overview

We seek to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic geography teacher for a unique opportunity to work in a hospital-based independent day school for 38 young people aged 8-18 who have eating disorders. We are part of Rhodes Wood Hospital, an eating disorder CAHMS unit, whereby students will continue their academic studies with us during their hospital stay.

The ability to teach Art at key stages 3, 4, and 5 is essential. This is a part-time post, working two days a week. We seek someone available from November.

If you are looking for a new challenge and are committed to making a difference for young people, this opportunity could be for you. You will need to be flexible, kind, compassionate, patient and enjoy working with a small team.

We want to hear if you can make a difference in a unique, creative, and exciting setting with a 'family feel' like ours.

We can offer the following:

  • Students who enjoy learning and want to come to school to keep on track with their peers
  • A dedicated, enthusiastic staff team that wants the best for the students.
  • A supportive Governing Body
  • A well-resourced school
  • A salary package commensurate with the size of the school
  • Free lunchtime meal
  • Private Pension

If you want more information, you can contact us at 01707 655344 or email stuffnell@elysiumeducation.co.uk. Sharon Tuffnell is the school administrator.

The closing date is Monday 15th September, at 9:00 a.m. I
