We are looking for conscientious and hard-working individuals who are passionate about education and pay meticulous attention to detail.

 We have a fantastic opportunity at our Bristol Campus in Wanswell, Berkeley for a part time, permanent Art Teacher (0.6FTE). You will be adept at coaching our students to see and lead through challenges in their learning, so they make the best possible progress in each and every lesson.

 Key responsibilities:

  • To ensure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of care, learning and achievement for all students
  • To plan effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and in collaboration with the SENCO, prepare, implement, monitor and review Individual Educational Plans.
  • To assess, record and monitor each pupil’s progress in line with the National Framework profile and to report to parents.
  • To ensure documented lesson plans are delivered to meet the outcomes as set out in the relevant OneSchool Global UK Art curriculum and the relevant GCSE and A-Level Examination Board specifications.
  • Support the development of a vibrant Art programme for students from KS2-KS5
  • The role is central to the efficient and effective teaching of Art using the 50:50 model to inspire and enthuse all students to achieve at the highest levels whilst supporting the development of all learners.
  • Ensure the Self-Directed Learning philosophy of the school is presented in an age appropriate manner to all students.
  • To equip students with the transferable skills of time management, research, IT and problem solving
  • To plan, implement and monitor schemes of work, lesson plans and student Self Directed Learning assignments for Art. Each lesson plan is to indicate which outcomes will be addressed in the lesson and what resources will be used, in line with the OSGUK Art curriculum.
  • To set targets based on prior attainments, and undertake effective, informative marking which will extend and develop all students.
  • To support sixth form students in their completion of the AQA Extended Project Qualification as EPQ coordinator.

You will:

  • Have recent experience of teaching a range of classes from KS3-KS5
  • Have sound knowledge of the National Curriculum for GCSE and A-Level Art
  • Have experience of providing appropriate support for SEN pupils.
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and GCSE English and Maths Grade A*-C
  • Have a flexible approach and positive attitude towards work.
  • Ensure high standards are maintained, progressed and promoted in all areas of work
  • Set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levels.
  • To undertake appropriate professional development and positively participate in the appraisal of own performance.
  • Uphold and promulgate the OSG ethos within all areas of responsibility.
  • To perform such other duties as may be requested from time to time, commensurate with the role.
  • Contribute to, share in and promote the wider and longer-term vision of OneSchool Global
