Starting from Pre-Primary, the educational journey at our school supports students on their learning path, tailoring education to individual needs, aspirations and connecting it to real-life experiences and up-to-date practices.
We are now seeking a competent, experienced and, above all, passionate Arts Teacher to join the team from August 2025.
Arts Teacher focuses on the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). As an integral member of our Arts Faculty, you will inspire and nurture students' creativity while fostering a deep appreciation for Visual Arts within the MYP and DP frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Design and deliver engaging Visual Art lessons in alignment with the MYP framework and DP curriculum.
- Plan the units/lessons in the ManagBac system.
- Develop and adapt instructional materials that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Student Engagement:
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore and express their artistic ideas.
- Provide guidance and feedback to students to enhance their artistic skills and conceptual understanding.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Implement effective assessment strategies to evaluate students' progress in alignment with MYP and DP assessment criteria.
- Provide constructive feedback to support students' artistic growth and development.
- Use the ManageBac system to track students progress and report it to parents.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other teachers and educators within the MYP and DP programmes to ensure a cohesive and interdisciplinary approach.
- Participate in curriculum planning and development meetings to enhance the overall Arts program.
Extracurricular Activities:
- Organise and facilitate Art-related extracurricular activities, clubs, exhibitions, other events to further engage students in the arts beyond the classroom, including visits to galleries and museums.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and best practices in art education.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and contribute to the growth of the arts department.
Parental Engagement:
- Establish open communication with parents regarding students' progress and achievements in art.
- Organize exhibitions or showcases to involve parents in celebrating students' artistic accomplishments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education is a must.
- Teaching certification or qualification (PGCE, QTS) preferred.
- Experience teaching Visual Arts at the MYP and/or DP level is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive school culture.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 16:00.
Recruitment process:
- Panel interview including Head of school, Arts Faculty Lead and Employee Success Manager (30 minutes).
- Online trial lesson (60 minutes).
- Final interview with the Founder and CEO (20 minutes).
