41 weeks a year - 37 hours a week

Fixed term for 1 year ending 31.8.2025.

Timings: Mon-Thur 7.30am - 3.30pm Fri 7.30am - 3.00pm

The Bulwell Academy is an 11-18 academy serving families in and around the Bulwell area of Nottingham. We are seeking to appoint 2 Assistant Director's of Achievement to support our Director's of Achievement in driving improvements in academic performance through the identification and provision of appropriate academic interventions to tackle underperformance, to provide high quality pastoral support, ensuring high attendance and good punctuality and to improve the behaviour and culture of specific year groups.

The role will involve supporting the pastoral welfare of students and being available to students (and parents) in a designated key stage throughout the day. They post holder will support with rewards and consequences systems, the integration of SEND, safeguarding, and Pastoral Support Plans, be ‘on-call’ to support teachers in the classroom, supervise students in ICE and ALTEX (the school’s internal reflection rooms) and will establish positive relationships with students, parents, staff and external agencies in line with the school’s vision and values.

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working in a pastoral role within an educational setting who can demonstrate experience of successfully raising student academic performance and achievement and helping to drive improvements in behaviour, culture, and attendance within a school.
