This is an excellent opportunity take up a senior position in the Education Service within the Bi-borough Children’s Services Department, leading on Special Educational Needs for Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The bi-borough Education Service provides support and challenge for schools, colleges and early years settings across the two boroughs and is responsible for maintaining high educational standards across all phases, providing a combination of statutory and discretionary support for young people with SEN as part of the Local Offer in each borough.
In this challenging and high-profile role, you will play a key role in the Education Senior Leadership Team and work with the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services for both boroughs.
With great confidence and credibility, you will:
- be responsible for the strategic development of services within the Local Offer to secure high quality education and achievement for children with SEN
- lead on strategic planning and developments around commissioning and SEN funding across both boroughs
- implement a revised structure and have management oversight of the Special Educational Needs service to transition from tri-borough to bi-borough
