About the facilities team:

The facilities team play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, clean environment conducive to learning. Many areas from building maintenance and security are effectively managed by the team to ensure that classrooms and common areas are well-equipped and functional. By coordinating with other schools in the trust, they can share resources and best practices, enhancing the overall efficiency and quality of the facilities. Their efforts ensure that students and staff have a comfortable and supportive environment, allowing them to focus on education and personal development.


About You:

As Assistant Facilities Manager at Ellis Guilford School, you will bring a keen eye for detail, be self-motivated and have a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff. You will need to thrive when working autonomously in the role, assist with the organisation and management of contractors on site, be able to drive projects to practical completion and undertake as required repair and maintenance work whilst dealing effectively with day to day facilities issues as they arise. Our ideal candidate would have:

·       Experience in managing facilities within a large school or similar setting in the education sector.

·       Preferably already have a recognised health and safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely or similar as a minimum) or be willing to work to this qualification

·       Experience of using a facilities management system and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office

·       Proven initiative and ability to work without direct supervision, taking entire responsibility for tasks, prioritising and scheduling own workload.

·       Have a first-rate customer focused and flexible approach to work


Requirements:
